Puppetry
In receiving the LUROP Provost Fellowship, I decided to use my funding to research breathwork in theatre. The journey took me to Flint, Michigan where I attended a workshop hosted by Jerome York at Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (Region 3). I learned all about how breathwork influences puppetry, so I built a fish puppet from scratch to accompany my oral presentation. This puppet was also featured in my senior capstone, which was a 10 minute scene from Sarah Ruhl's Passion Play.
